CPD Legal Craft
What is CPD Legal Craft?
CPD Legal Craft is a CPD activity that focuses on writing for legal content. It enables lawyers and pupils in chambers to obtain CPD points through published content on electronic or printed platforms that are recognised and approved by the Bar Council. These may include regular media outlets, blogs, websites, periodicals, and etc.
The Bar Council presently offers two opportunities for lawyers and pupils in chambers (please click below for more information):
CPD Points for Submission
One CPD point will be awarded for each 500 words. Please note that the CPD point(s) for this CPD activity is only claimable during the CPD cycle in which the publication is released for the first time.
Guidelines for Submission
Your articles must fulfil the following criteria for consideration:
- comprise substantial legal content;
- have been written and published for the purpose of legal, professional or community development; and
- have been published in books, journals, newspapers, blogs, websites, or any other platforms (either in print or electronic format) that are approved by the Bar Council.
How to Claim CPD Points
Please send us the following information to the CPD Department by email at cpd@malaysianbar.org.my:
- Title of publication
- Title of article
- Date of publication
- Whether it was co-authored and name of co-author, if any
- Word count
