Description
As part of its ongoing awareness-raising activities, the Bar Council Committee on Orang Asli Rights (“COAR”) is organising a day visit to the Orang Asli settlement in Hulu Tamu, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor, which is about two hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur.
The goal of this outreach trip is to provide Members of the Bar and pupils in chambers an opportunity to interact with the Orang Asli, listen to their stories, and learn about their concerns and struggles.
This day trip will also help increase awareness of the rights of Orang Asli, and enable Members and pupils in chambers to gain a better understanding of the legal issues they face.
