Description
We refer to Circular No 049/2025 dated 13 Feb 2025, giving notice of the 79th Annual General Meeting of the Malaysian Bar (“AGM”), to be held on 15 Mar 2025 (Saturday).
The Bar Council will be tabling several motions at the upcoming AGM. In connection with this, we have already issued Frequently-Asked-Questions (“FAQs”) about Legal Research Products and increasing the Prescribed Fee.
In this regard, we are organising a briefing session to inform Members about all the Bar Council motions that we intend to table at the AGM. We encourage all Members to attend this briefing session.

Terms and Conditions
• Admission is free but advance registration is required. The access link to the Virtual Briefing Session will be provided closer to the date.
• Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The registration for this event will close on 25 Feb 2025 (Tuesday), at 12:00 pm.
• The organiser reserves the right to modify, cancel or postpone the event, should circumstances arise that make such action necessary.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing. Substitutions are allowed. Kindly inform us in writing with the
relevant details at least three days in advance. If you have failed to inform the organiser on your cancellation
for three consecutive times, you may be blacklisted for future events.
Transferral
You are allowed to transfer your place to another participant, but you must notify the organiser with the
necessary details at least three days in advance.
Attendance
CPD points for the CPD Scheme will not be awarded to Members and pupils in chambers who arrive more
than 15 minutes late, are not present throughout the event, or leave before its scheduled end.
Privacy Policy
The personal information that you provide to the Bar Council, whether now or in the future, may be used,
recorded, stored, disclosed or otherwise processed by or on behalf of the Bar Council for the purposes of
facilitation and organisation of this event, research and audit, maintenance of a participant database for the
promotion of this event, and such ancillary services as may be relevant.
