Academic Collaboration
The Bar Council recognises the importance of competence in the everyday workplace. With this in mind, we have developed some ways for you to enhance your knowledge and skills through involvement in postgraduate and academic programmes in law.
Applying for CPD Points for Postgraduate and Academic Programme
If you have completed a postgraduate and academic programme in law, you are eligible to claim between 8 to 16 CPD points.
For accreditation of a postgraduate and academic programme in law by the Bar Council, you are required to submit an application with the following information:
- Course Title
- Programme Structure (eg, part-time or full-time and mode of delivery)
- Institution
- Period of Study
Evidential support is also mandatory for the application to be processed, and they may include:
- Acceptance Letter
- Academic Transcript
- Academic Certificate
Please email the relevant information and documents via digital copy to the CPD Department at cpd@malaysianbar.org.my.
Kindly note that CPD points will only be assigned to postgraduate and academic programmes that commenced or completed after 1 July 2012.
