What Should You Do If You Want to Check Your CPD Points?

 

Lawyers

For lawyers that are interested to check the CPD points that you have obtained, you may download the Malaysian Bar mobile application. It is available on Apple Store (iOS version) and Google Play (Android version). For more information, please refer to the circular 107/2016.

 

Pupils in Chambers

For pupils in chambers, you may email the request to check the CPD points that you have obtained during the pupillage to the CPD Department at cpd@malaysianbar.org.my.

 

Please note that the CPD points that you have obtained during the pupillage will not reflect at the Advocates and Solicitors online portal and the Malaysian Bar mobile app.

 

What You Should Know About the CPD Record Sheet? 

 

You will have to submit the CPD Record Sheet, if you wished to claim CPD points for participating in the CPD activities organised by external organisations.

 

Please do not submit the CPD Record Sheet, if you have not obtained any CPD points, or have only participated in the CPD activities organised by the Bar Council and State Bar Committees.

Applying for CPD Points for Postgraduate and Academic Programme

 

If you have completed a postgraduate and academic programme in law, you are eligible to claim between 8 to 16 CPD points.

 

For accreditation of a postgraduate and academic programme in law by the Bar Council, you are required to submit an application with the following information:

• Course Title
• Programme Structure (eg, part-time or full-time and mode of delivery)
• Institution
• Period of Study

 

Evidential support is also mandatory for the application to be processed, and they may include:

• Acceptance Letter
• Academic Transcript
• Academic Certificate

 

Please email the relevant information and documents via digital copy to the CPD Department at cpd@malaysianbar.org.my.

 

Kindly note that CPD points will only be assigned to postgraduate and academic programmes that commenced or completed after 1 July 2012.
