Speaker
Eugene Roy Joseph is the founder of the boutique law firm Joseph Chambers and has been practising IP for more than 20 years, advising on registration of IP rights for patent, trademark, industrial design and copyright for multi-nationals and local companies as well as litigation and enforcement.
Roy is a graduate from the University of London, is called to the Bar in Malaysia, UK and Brunei and registered Patent, Trademark and Design Agent in Malaysia.
Roy is also a member of Asian Patent Attorneys Association, Malaysian Intellectual Property Association, Licensing Executive Society of Malaysia and IP Committee Member of the Bar Council.
Roy has been a regular speaker for Selangor Bar titled i) “Winter is Here ? IPR Enpassant & IP” (2017), ii) “Patently Patentable Patents & IP (2016)”,iii) “Domain Name as Shield & Sword , Empire Strikes Back, IP rights & strategy (2015 ) iv) “An Overview on the Fundamentals of IP, Bird’s Eye vs Eagle’s Eye Revisited” (2014 & 2013)
He was also a speaker /moderator at Asian Domain Summit 2014 in Singapore and Licensing Executive Society Asia Pacific Conference besides lectured law at Advance Tertiary College (ATC) and International College of Music (ICOM).
