Evveline Loh is a partner at Burlingtons Group, specialising in commercial litigation, international arbitration and cross-border disputes. She advises international businesses, Chinese state-owned enterprises and high-net-worth individuals across the United Kingdom, Asia, the Middle East and the United States. A founding member of Burlingtons Group’s Asia Desk, she has experience in asset recovery, enforcement of foreign judgments and alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) proceedings in the United Kingdom. Drawing on her cross-border practice, she brings a collaborative and commercially-minded perspective to moderating discussions on international dispute resolution.

Speakers

Joe-han Ho is a commercial barrister based in London who practises across the full spectrum of commercial disputes. He has more than a decade’s experience in dispute resolution and has been ranked in The Legal 500 for many years. He has a thriving arbitration practice and regularly acts as sole counsel or as part of a counsel team. His practice focuses on complex and high-value disputes with an international element, often with an Asian connection. In addition to counsel work, he has extensive experience in ADR and accepts appointments as arbitrator, mediator and adjudicator.

Nimalan Devaraja is a partner at Skrine. He is a commercial litigator who primarily practises in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, company law and shareholders’ disputes, restructuring and insolvency and regulatory enforcement. Nimalan is the current Chairperson of the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee, the Co-Deputy Chairperson of the Bar Council Arbitration and Construction Law Committee and a council member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators. In The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2025 edition, Nimalan was ranked as “Next Generation Partner” for dispute resolution.

Terms and Conditions

Event Policy

Places are limited and registration is on a first come, first served basis. Registration for this session will close on 20 Nov 2025 (Thursday), at 12:00 pm. For events with registration fees, all payments must be made in advance, including bank charges. Registration will be confirmed once proof of payment is provided by email or fax, and full payment is received.
The organiser reserves the right to modify, cancel or postpone the event, should circumstances arise that make such action necessary, whereupon all registration fees paid will be refunded.

Cancellation

Cancellations must be made in writing. Please note that there will be no refunds for cancellations, but substitutions are allowed. Kindly inform us in writing with the relevant details at least three days in advance. If you have failed to inform the organiser on your cancellation for three consecutive times, you may be blacklisted for future events.

Transferral
You are allowed to transfer your place to another participant, but you must notify the organiser with the necessary details at least three days in advance. Attendance CPD points for CPD Scheme will not be awarded to lawyers and pupils in chambers from Peninsular Malaysia who arrive more than 15 minutes late, are not present throughout the event, or leave before its scheduled end.

The personal information that you provide to the Malaysian Bar, whether now or in the future, may be used, recorded,
stored, disclosed or otherwise processed by or on behalf of the Malaysian Bar for the purposes of facilitation and organisation of this event, research and audit, maintenance of a participant database for the promotion of this event,
and such ancillary services as may be relevant.
