The Bar Council Family Law Committee is organising this one-day seminar entitled “Avoiding the Quicksand of Divorce”, bringing together eminent speakers from Malaysia and Singapore from the judicial, legal and psychological spheres, to educate, share and reflect on key issues arising when distressed litigants and their families seek justice. The topics featured include a focus on the intricacies of practice, ethical considerations facing a family practitioner, and addressing and supporting the best interests of children and vulnerable persons within the family justice system. It is hoped that this seminar will create new collaborations with the relevant stakeholders and professionals, as a first step towards fulfilling our quest for a multi-disciplinary approach, supported by family professionals, for an effective family justice system in Malaysia.
