Competition Law- A New Chapter in Enforcement and Practice

Dr. Vince possesses extensive work experience across both legal practice and academic. He obtained his Doctorate specializing in Comparative Competition Law with a reference to WTO agreements way back in 2009, prior to the passing of the Competition Act 2010. He was appointed as an Advisor to the then Interim Competition Commission. He was the de facto Antitrust Counsel for a national airline and advised the company on various Competition Law issues across its worldwide business. He was also instrumental in the design and implementation of its Competition Compliance Programme. As Competition Consultant he provided competition consultancy and compliance training to various listed companies. He has an illustrious career presented papers on many occasions, was a key speaker at many conferences and presented the newly-enacted Competition Act 2010 to the Japan Fair Trade Commission and Japan International Business Association, among others. As a lecturer he introduced a new Competition Law course based on the Competition Act 2010 at the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya. He has published a number of articles in international journals. He was called as Barrister-at-Law to The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 1996. He currently sits on the Bar Council Competition Law Sub-Committee.
