Description

This webinar aims to benefit solicitors who have not handled any conveyancing matters or solicitors who are planning to venture into conveyancing practice. It will provide a step-by-step guide on basic conveyancing practice and how to complete all related conveyance transactions, and will act as an initial guide on how to manage and keep conveyancing files. The webinar will also talk about what a solicitor should do when they receive a brief to open a conveyance case file.

Speaker

Zemilah Mohd Noor holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia (“IIUM”) and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1995.  She has experience in the conveyancing discipline, with a focus in real estate projects, Islamic finance and banking, commercial business, and start-ups advisory.  She is a senior partner in EzriLaw.

She is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the Bar Council Conveyancing Practice Committee and a member of the Penang Bar Committee’s Conveyancing Practice Subcommittee.  She was previously the Chairperson of the Penang Bar Committee’s Conveyancing Practice and Islamic Finance Subcommittee for a few terms.  She also actively contributes as a member of the Bar Council Islamic Finance Committee and as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board.
