CPD Legal Learning Lab | An Introduction to Practising Tax Law in Malaysia (Selangor)

13 Oct 2023 - Fri / 1 day / 9:00am - 12:30pm / Selangor Bar Committee Auditorium, Selangor Bar Committee, 39, Jalan Bola Jaring 13/15, Seksyen 13 40100 Shah Alam, Selangor

Tax is often perceived as a niche and complex area that only a select few can practise. This event aims to dispel this misconception: tax law is not an exclusive club; any lawyer can practise tax law. Tax affects everyone, from the man on the street to multinational companies. Every dealing or transaction will have tax consequences. You are affected too — hence you should attend this event.

With tax authorities stepping up their enforcement and collection efforts, it is imperative that you, as a taxpayer and lawyer for your clients, are equipped with the knowledge and tools to protect their rights and yours. This event will provide a roadmap for the Malaysian tax system and the dispute resolution process. The panellists will also share their experiences and tips in dealing with tax issues and the tax authorities. These sessions aim to empower more lawyers nationwide to take up tax law as an additional practice area.
