CPD Live | AI Legal Agents 101: A Practical Introduction for Law Firms

18 Nov 2026 - Wed / 1 day / 3:00pm - 5:00pm / Online via Zoom

Artificial intelligence (“AI”) is moving beyond chatbots that answer questions and generate documents. AI agents can now help users carry out multi-step tasks, work with files, interact with applications and execute repetitive workflows.

What are AI agents? How do they differ from familiar tools such as ChatGPT? What can they realistically do for a law firm?

This introductory webinar will explore the emerging AI-agent landscape, including agent capabilities within popular  AI platforms, workflow automation tools and configurable personal agents. It will consider practical applications in legal research, document preparation, litigation support and law firm administration, alongside questions of cost,
accessibility, confidentiality and oversight.

Drawing on the speaker’s experience in conducting hands-on AI-agent workshops for Malaysian lawyers, there will also be a live demonstration of current AI agents to illustrate how a personal agent can work through a legal task using documents and repeatable skills. This session is intended for lawyers without programming experience.
