Death Penalty Deserves A Quick Death?

Since the death sentence existed as a punishment until today, the question whether or not the death sentence should be abolished is often being raised and whenever raised, it always trigger an interesting and emotional debate as to whether the death sentence should be removed from the statute books in entirety.

This forum will look into the evolution and metamorphosis of capital punishment in Malaysia, methods of capital punishment worldwide, capital offences as well as arguments for and against the abolition of the death penalty by the Retentionist and Abolitionist. The position of the death sentence in other countries will also be discussed to compare and contrast the position of death penalty in Malaysia.

This Forum is to provide a platform for all, particularly practitioners from the legal community to discuss the legal position of capital punishment in Malaysia in depth on a neutral basis as well as the legal ideology of death penalty across the globe.
