Speaker
Dato’ Varghese George graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Singapore in 1974.
He was in private practice as an Advocate & Solicitor for 35 years and was the Senior Partner in the legal firm of Messrs. Zain & Co in Kuala Lumpur (specializing in civil, commercial construction, land and administrative law related litigation and arbitration cases) prior to being appointed a Judicial Commissioner in October 2009.
He was subsequently elevated as a Judge of the High Court, Malaya in August 2011 and thereafter as a Judge of Appeal, Malaysia in October 2013. He retired from the Judiciary on 27th January 2017.
He is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (FMIArbs) and currently acts as Arbitrator, Adjudicator and Mediator in various disputes.
