Description
The Strata Management Laws & Regulations provide for notice of general meetings, the agendas to be included, types of resolutions, rights of proprietors and voting process. However, there are few lacunas in the law, for example: how the general meeting proceedings are to be conducted, contents of minutes of meetings, the type of minutes suitable for general meetings, whether proxies can participate in debates and whether the chairman of the meeting can be ousted. This seminar will provide essential guidelines on how to conduct general meetings by adhering to the intent and spirit of the Strata Management Act 2013 and the Regulations therein and explore ways in which disputes can be resolved amicably
