Abdul Razak bin Ismail is 66 years old. In the year, 1979 he graduated from the Law Faculty University of Malaya. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1980 but instead of practicing law chose to work in the corporate sector. He has worked in the oil and gas sector, banking, plantation and international trade and media.
In 1993, he then proceeded to commenced practice as an Advocate & Solicitor and presently specializes in civil litigation having being retained to appear for clients in all the civil courts. At the moment he does act as counsel for solicitors and on numerous occasions has appeared in the Federal Court on land matters.
Aside from litigation, given his knowledge and experience as a professional in the legal and corporate sector, he currently advises individual businesses and companies on many aspects of business. Having acquired the essence of litigation and financial analysis he is in a comfortable position providing consultancy to enhance the financial performance of businesses and companies that retains him.
He currently has his own law practice under the name of Abdul Razak Ismail & Associates base in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The subject of his choice pertains to the qualities that a lawyer needs to possess to attain a certain amount of competency as a professional. The lawyer cannot just confine his practice to the law but when he has a firm of his own; it being a business, has to be managed as one. Thus the lawyer has to acquire skills beyond the law.
