Leveraging Mediation Advocacy for Small Firms

19 Nov 2025 - Wed / 1 day / 2:30pm - 3:30pm /
About the Webinar

The Bar Council Small Firms Practice Committee (“SFPC”) is pleased to present a one-hour webinar titled “Leveraging Mediation Advocacy for Small Firms.”

Mediation is increasingly recognised as a vital and effective tool in dispute resolution, offering a faster, more cost-effective and relationship-preserving alternative to litigation.  For small- and medium-sized law firms, developing strong mediation advocacy skills not only enhances client satisfaction but also expands service offerings in a competitive legal landscape.

This session will explore how small firms can harness mediation as a strategic advantage, both as advocates and as advisors, while managing cost, time and client outcomes effectively.

Participants will gain insights into:

  • understanding the principles and process of mediation;
  • defining the role of advocates in mediation;
  • developing practical strategies for effective mediation advocacy; and
  • integrating mediation into a small firm’s dispute resolution portfolio.
