Workshop on Digital Evidence

The goal of this workshop is to introduce participants to the basics of digital evidence, online investigations, digital forensic analysis, and search and seizure techniques for electronic devices and online email accounts. Additionally, the participants will explore some of the legal and procedural issues relating to electronic evidence in court proceedings such as those concerning the admissibility of email, text messages, operating system log files, and internet protocol address log files. At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants should have a better understanding of how to identify, preserve, obtain, analyse and use electronic evidence in their legal practice.
