Description
There have been many talks and seminars on advocacy in general, covering a range of topics such as trial advocacy, appellate advocacy, handling of expert witnesses and written advocacy.
Often overlooked however is the fact that advocacy skills are required and ought to be present in all aspects of the litigation process. This would include the drafting of pleadings to urgent interlocutory applications to routine case managements to hearing or trial preparation and even requests for adjournments. It is important for an Advocate to understand the needs and objectives of the Court at each and every stage of the process and to prepare for it effectively and with the same vigor as they would for a substantive hearing or full trial.
The speakers will cover aspects of the litigation process often neglected and which, if conducted
effectively, would lead to being a Complete Advocate.
